Google's "Mysterious OS" "Fuchsia" has a quiet launch. It has been about 5 years since its existence was revealed. It was an unknown project that would be a product, but it was finally a concrete form. However, despite the company's OS following Android and Chrome OS, there is no presentation or explanation, and its position has not been cleared.
Developed on a smart home display
According to the first 9to5 Google, Fuchsia has been provided as an update for Google's smart display "Nest Hub".The discovery was because Nest Hub, which was equipped with "Fuchsia1.0", has received a new approval from the standardized organization Bluetooth Sig.
NEST HUB is a first -generation smart display with a 7 -inch screen released in 2018.It was running on the Linux -based "Cast OS", but it will be updated to Fuchsia over a few months via a network. However, this transition says that "the feeling of use is basically the same," so it is not conscious of users.
May 25, when 9to5GOOGLE reported this, was one week after the developer event "Google I/O".However, Google did not mention Fuchsia at the event at all, and did not give a press release for this launch.
Petr Hosek, a technical lead at the Fuchsiaos tool chain team, wrote on Twitter, saying, "New OS is not to ship every day, but today is that day."
"Fuchsia" (purple dark pink color) was released on GitHub in 2016 and was known.Later, the quietly launched project website introduced:
"It is an open source attempt to create a production -level OS that gives priority to security, update, and performance. The developer will be the foundation for building long -term products and experiences on various devices."
