Research conducted by Sheldon Cohen, a professor of psychology at Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Psychology at Robert E.Doherty University, shows that "lack of sleep is the main reason for disturbing the balance of autonomic nerves and reducing the role of white blood cells responsible for immune function."
In detail, the results of a survey of 153 healthy men and women aged 21-55 showed that those who slept less than 7 hours were 2.94 times more likely to catch a cold than those who slept more than 8 hours. It can be said that getting enough sleep also helps to protect your body.
And, in one study, if you get less than eight hours of sleep a day, elevated levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, can have an adverse effect on intestinal bacteria, leading to reduced metabolism.
In other words, lack of sleep will not only make people irritable. Not only reduces immunity, but also the possibility of getting fat is obvious.
So, while reconfirming the importance of sleep here, we tried to pick out the effects of weight that we particularly care about losing weight.
